Artworks of that type have a three-dimensional form and are made of plastic or hard materials. There are two main sorts of sculpture: round (statue or bust, which can be viewed from different sides) and relief sculpture (partly buried into the flat background projecting outwards). A great ancient Greek philosopher Socrates pointed out that "the sculptor must represent in his figures the activities of the soul ".
