Nature is very important to the concept of primitivism. Behind primitivists’ worldview there is a will to see reality fairly, without any pressure of society. Artists often strove to abandon formality and embrace, instead, a more human sincerity. Marc Shagall said:”If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing.”
