Tempera paints are made of a water basis with dry pigment. Natural or artificial emulsions (chicken yolk or glue foundation) are served as a binding element. Tempera has an amazing durability, it doesn’t get dark over time. However, it requires a very thorough and meticulous lead-up, considering thin paint, and the color rendition becomes less deep and saturated.
