The painting reflects a little of my vision of beauty through echoes of Pre-Raphaelite art, vintage wallpaper, the abundance of antique luxuries in the background of an ancient, dusty bust of Ekorshe. It's a past banished by the Bolsheviks during the Red Terror and the persecution of the nobility. The whispers we hear from the pages of shabby books
