Igor Vladimirovich Primachenko (1941 - 2013)
Born in 1941 in Moscow.
In 1971 he graduated from the Moscow Higher Art and Industrial College (B. Stroganov).
Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1978.
He worked in the field of easel painting and graphics.
The artist has executed a large number of commissioned paintings for public, industrial and cultural centers in Russian cities.
A great place in the artist's work was occupied by marine themes and related subjects of human life by the sea, the architecture of beautiful seaside towns.
Numerous creative trips to Kamchatka, Chukotka, the Arctic, the Northern Sea Route and the Mediterranean Sea have become a source of inspiration and the creation of a large number of thematic paintings.
The artist actively participated in the creative and social life of Moscow and Russia. For many years he was chairman of the commission of marine artists of the Union of Artists of the USSR, a member of the Council of the House of Artists of Moscow.
Participant of more than 100 group exhibitions in Moscow, Russia and abroad. Personal exhibitions of the author were presented in Moscow, Tokyo, Niigata, Cologne, Belgrade, Zagreb, Budva.
He was repeatedly awarded diplomas for participating in exhibitions.
Igor Primachenko's works are in the collections of museums in Russia, the CIS, the Ministry of Culture and the USSR Art Fund, as well as in private collections in Russia, Germany, Japan, Italy, France, Brazil, Yugoslavia, the USA and other countries.
