The Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was originally wooden and was located on the left bank of the Volga. Then it was dismantled and moved to the right bank in Saratov. It was one of the ancient temples in Saratov, built in the XVII century. The Kazan Church was destroyed by fires many times, but rebuilt again. In the 1930s it was destroyed and has not been restored. Residential buildings are now in its place. Of the entire architectural ensemble, only the House of the clergy survived.
The clergy are ministers and choristers in the Orthodox Church. They lived in houses not far from the temple, rested and went to the service. Built in 1727.
I have been working on this picture for a long time. Fortunately, I haven't forgotten my lessons. Looking at this building, you can not believe that this is Saratov. But we also have a lot of such structures. It is sad that most of them are not reconstructed and they continue to stand, dilapidate and wait for demolition.
