Description of the picture
I painted this study from nature, right on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. There was a strong wind blowing from the Gulf, making it difficult to paint. However, I tied the palette to my sketchbook and secured the canvas tightly. The painting is full of expression and captures the vivid impression of the elements.
