Iris Flower After Rain

Description of the picture

Velvet petals of fragrant garden irises are covered with crystal drops of water after a warm summer rain. For a few minutes the colors are brighter and the fragrance of the flowers calls with its slight hint to stroll through the garden...
At the international competition «2021 AMERICAN ART AWARDS» this painting won second place in the category «Floral - not realistic».
The work is done in 2021 oil paints on canvas. The ends are painted, which allows to exhibit the painting without a frame and use it as a decoration in modern interiors. There is a suspension for mounting on the wall. The picture is painted from nature in my summer workshop. For the composition I used flowers from my garden.
