Description of the picture
Helenium flowers grow under my old plum tree in the garden. They rise proudly above the knotty old trunk and attract bees and the last of the butterflies with their bright, late blossoms. In the last warm days the garden is deafeningly quiet, only the ripe plums are about to begin to crumble into the thick September grass.
In this work I wanted to convey the serenity and fleeting beauty of the first days of fall.
