Description of the picture
This work is a homage to the Russian artist Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin. His work «Red Horse» was painted in 1912 and brought him worldwide fame. It combines Russian icon painting and European classical traditions. I put together cubes to build this legendary silhouette, simplifying the image so that you can unmistakably recognize the masterpiece, but removing all the details. It turned out quite minimalistic and restrained. Behind the seeming simplicity lies a meticulous work on detailing and refining the silhouette. This picture looks good in large spaces, in loft-style interiors.
