Description of the artwork
Author's interpretation of one of the central biblical scenes. In contrast to the overwhelming majority of works on this topic, it is not the kiss of the beloved disciple of Christ that is depicted, but what happened immediately after that. Judah was rewarded for his work, the guards arrested Jesus. The tonal resolution of the characters clearly indicates the dark and light essence of the main two characters.
