This movement is based on using simple geometric forms and lines. Constructivists introduced new color scheme, where prevailed black, white, red, yellow and blue colors. Constructivists proposed to replace art's traditional concern with composition with a focus on construction. Vladimir Tatlin, the ideologist of Russian constructivism, said: “Art - to life, not to the old or the new, but to the desired”.
