Print

Print is a work of art transferred onto a medium, e.g. paper, using one of the printing techniques — silkscreening, engraving, lithography, digital printing, etc. Many outstanding artists, from Dürer and Rembrandt on down to Picasso and Warhol, created prints of their paintings (on their own or being directly involved). Therefore, reproductions of art works were given a sort of handmade nature. An artist usually puts a signature, the number and size of the print run, and in some cases the author's strokes. Each print is available in limited edition. In the XXI century, the quality of canvas printing has reached unprecedented height. Available to a greater number of artist admirers, a picture print for the interior has become a worthy alternative to the expensive original.
