Description of the picture

The concept of the Russian North does not have an established definition. It is rather a historical and cultural concept. However, the lands of the Arkhangelsk region, its vast boundless forests, can be safely called northern. This is a rather harsh region, and in the first decades of its development it was not at all easy to live here. However, people managed to conquer this cold land, cleverly use its resources, and at the same time leave it in its original form.

The artist loves to paint winter landscapes, and this work was performed with special inspiration and love for the harsh northern nature and the Russian north.

The photo does not convey all the colors and texture of the painting.
Of course, for a more subtle and accurate perception, the picture is better to see live.
